A spring!

We had great fun on a hired mini digger in October digging out the path under the cliff and putting in supporting gabions. What we did not expect was for water to suddenly come pouring out of the cliff, quickly making the earth into a muddy swamp. Fortunately the source turned out to be a very old, probably Geogian lead pipe which had been connected to a spring. The water is stunningly cold and crystal clear and we have now installed this new water feature to make the most of it. What a find!
